Australia captain Aaron Finch announces retirement from ODI cricket

Australian limited overs skipper Aaron Finch decided to say goodbye to the one-day international (ODI) format of the game.
The 35-year-old will play his 146th and final ODI in Cairns against New Zealand.
He has an outstanding career in the 50-over game in which he has scored 5,401 runs.
His 17 centuries put him behind only greats Ricky Ponting (29), David Warner and Mark Waugh (both 18).
He made his debut against Sri Lanka at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in 2013 and smashed his maiden hundred against Scotland, scoring 148 runs.
He was appointed as the permanent white-ball captain after the fallout of the ball-tampering scandal in 2018 which saw Steve Smith banned.
