आगरा, गाजियाबाद और प्रयागराज में बनेंगे पुलिस आयुक्तालय

  • उत्तर प्रदेश कैबिनेट ने आगरा, गाजियाबाद और प्रयागराज जिलों में पुलिस आयुक्तालय स्थापित करने को अपनी मंजूरी दे दी है।
  • प्रणाली में, एक पुलिस आयुक्त जिला पुलिस विभाग या आयुक्तालय का प्रमुख होता है, जिसे विभिन्न अधिनियमों के तहत एक कार्यकारी मजिस्ट्रेट की शक्तियों के साथ निहित किया जाता है।
  • राज्य में अब कुल 75 जिलों में से सात जिलों में पुलिसिंग की एक आयुक्त प्रणाली होगी।
  • इससे पहले, इसे मार्च 2021 में कानपुर नगर और वाराणसी में और जनवरी 2020 में लखनऊ और गौतम बुद्ध नगर, जहां नोएडा स्थित है, में लागू किया गया था।
