  • According to this report, the country's capital Delhi has become the most polluted city in the world.
  • Delhi's air quality index has been measured at 492.
  • At second place is Lahore of Pakistan whose air quality index is 381.
  • Kolkata is at third place and Dhaka is at fourth place.
  • China's Shenyang is at fifth place and Mumbai is at sixth place.
  • 3 of the top 10 most polluted cities are from India.
  • The concentration of fine particulate matter, PM 2.5, in Delhi is 523 milligrams per cubic metre.
  • This concentration is 104 times more than the World Health Organization standard.
