· The 28th edition of the Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX) took place from 02 to 04 September 2021.
· The SIMBEX-2021 annual bilateral maritime exercise was hosted by the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) in the southern shore of the South China Sea.
Important facts
About Simbex-2021:
v The Indian Navy was represented by the Guided Missile Destroyer INS Rannvijay along with a ship-propelled helicopter, the ASW corvette INS Kilton and the Guided Missile Corvette INS Kora and a P8I Long Range Maritime Patrol Aircraft.
v The aim of the exercise is to strengthen bilateral defense ties between the two countries. This year's edition of SIMBEX is also a special occasion as it takes place during the ongoing celebrations of the 75th year of India's independence.
v The success of SIMBEX-2021 is yet another demonstration of the mutual resolve of both sides to further strengthen the bilateral partnership in the years to come.
