₹13,000 Cr NISAR Earth Observation Satellite Co-developed by India and U.S. Successfully Launched from Sriharikota:

India and the U.S. jointly launched the world’s most expensive Earth observation satellite, NISAR (NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar), valued at ₹13,000 crore. The satellite lifted off aboard the GSLV-F16 rocket from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. NISAR will orbit Earth 14 times daily and map nearly all land and ice surfaces twice every 12 days, significantly boosting Earth science data and environmental monitoring.
