    Overview

    The entire recruitment process is managed by the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB).

    The online application window is open from October 9, 2025, to November 7, 2025. Candidates must not exceed 30 years of age as of the closing date, though relaxations apply for reserved categories and government employees. The application fee is ₹100 for General/OBC/EWS male candidates, but women, SC/ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen are exempt.

    The selection is based on a One-Tier Written Examination (Computer-Based Test/CBT) followed by document verification. The exam date will be announced later by the Board.

     

    Eligibility for TGT

    Educational and Professional Qualifications:

    To be eligible for  TGT Science, candidates must meet the following:

    Educational Degree: They must have a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate. The subject (Mathematics or one of the specified Science subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, etc.) must have been studied for at least 2 years at the graduation level. Alternatively, a Master's degree in the concerned subject with 50% marks, or a 4-year integrated B.El.Ed/B.Sc.B.Ed/B.A.B.Ed course is also acceptable.

    Professional Qualification: A B.Ed degree or integrated B.Ed-M.Ed is mandatory.

    Mandatory Test: Candidates must have a valid passing certificate for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II conducted by CBSE.

    Language: Working knowledge of Hindi is required.

    Syllabus

    The written examination is a One-Tier (Teaching) test of 200 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) worth 200 marks, with a duration of 2 hours. There is a penalty of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

    The exam consists of two main sections:

    Section A (General Aptitude - 100 Marks): This section is common for all TGT posts and assesses general abilities across five areas: General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, Arithmetical & Numerical Ability, Hindi Language & Comprehension, and English Language & Comprehension. Each area typically carries 20 marks.

    Section B (Subject Concerned - 100 Marks): This section is subject-specific. For TGT Science, it will comprise MCQs from the respective subject areas at the graduation level. Importantly, this section also includes questions on Teaching Methodology/Pedagogy and B.Ed.-related topics relevant to the subject.

    How to Apply

    The application must be submitted exclusively through the official DSSSB online portal, https://dsssbonline.nic.in.

    Registration: First-time applicants must complete a 'New Registration' on the portal, providing basic details, Class 10th specifics, and creating a login ID.

    Application Form: Log in with the generated credentials, navigate to the 'Apply Now' link for the relevant TGT post (e.g., TGT Mathematics), and fill in all personal, educational, and professional details.

    Document Upload: Candidates must upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature, and both thumb impressions in the prescribed format.

    Fee Payment: The applicable fee (₹100 or Nil, as per category) must be paid online.

    Final Submission: After successful payment and review, the application must be submitted, and a printout of the confirmation page should be saved.
