World Wildlife Day is celebrated every year on 3 March to make people aware of the disappearing flora and fauna species around the world.
On 20 December 2013, the United Nations General Assembly at its 68th session declared 3 March as World Wildlife Day.
The World Wildlife Day (WWD) 2022 theme is "Safeguarding key species for ecosystem restoration".
