World Veterinary Day is annually observed on the last Saturday of April across the world.
This year this day is being celebrated on 30th April.
The day aims to highlight and promote the work performed by veterinarians all over the world.
The World Veterinary Association aims to promote animal health and welfare and also deals with issues related to animal safety and the environment.
It also ensures the availability of necessary natural resources to raise livestock.
The theme of this year is "Strengthening Veterinary Resilience".
