  • This day is also known as “World Town Planning Day”.
  • Its principal goal is to recognise and promote the importance of planning in the development of livable communities.
  • World Urbanism Day, also known as "World Town Planning Day," was established in 1949 by an international organisation.
  • Every November 8th, it is observed in over 30 countries across four continents.
