World Teachers' Day is celebrated every year on 5 October to recognize the importance of teachers and their dedication.
The day serves as an opportunity to recognize the important role of teachers in shaping the future and facing the challenges they face.
This day was celebrated for the first time in the year 1994.
This day reflects the initiative of UNESCO in the year 1966 related to the status of teachers.
The theme of this day for the year 2023 is – 'Teachers are needed for the education we want: The global imperative to address the teacher shortage'.
