  • On October 23, the world celebrates World Snow Leopard Day. The major goal of commemorating this day is to emphasise the importance of snow leopard conservation and to promote awareness about this wonderful animal.
  • The day also underlines the need of taking steps to prevent poaching and coordinating efforts in terms of an environmental organisation in the nations where snow leopards live.
  • On October 23, 2014, the first Snow Leopard Day was observed.
  • The Snow Leopard is found in 12 different countries. India, Nepal, Bhutan, China, Mongolia, Russia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan are the following countries.
