World Science Day for peace and development is celebrated every year on 10 November in the world.
The objective of this day is to strengthen public awareness on the role of science for a peaceful and sustainable society.
Apart from this, national and international solidarity is to be promoted for shared science between countries.
In the year 1999, UNESCO and the International Science Council jointly announced the celebration of this day.
The theme of this day for the year 2023 has been kept as 'Building trust in science'.
