  • Eileen Ash, the world's oldest Test cricketer and a former English icon, died at the age of 110.
  • Ash was the oldest-ever Test cricketer at the time of her death having debuted against Australia in 1937.
  • Right-arm seamer Ash made seven appearances for England on either side of the Second World War, taking ten wickets at an average of 23.
  • Ash, who was born in London, was also honoured with a portrait at Lord's and an honorary life membership in the MCC.
