  • The main goal of commemorating this day is to raise a voice against social injustice and to bring various communities together.
  • The theme for World Day of Social Justice 2023 is "Overcoming Barriers and Unleashing Opportunities for Social Justice".
  • The General Assembly determined that on November 26, 2007, February 20 will be observed annually as World Day of Social Justice. 
  • On June 10, 2008, the International Labour Organisation endorsed the ILO Declaration on Social Justice for Equitable Globalization.
