The World Archery Championships and World Archery Congress will be held in Gwangju, South Korea, in 2025.
Gwangju was chosen over Madrid by a margin of ten votes to one.
The championships will be held for the third time in archery's leading competitive nation, following Seoul in 1985 and Ulsan in 2009.
The World Archery Federation organises a series of archery tournaments called the World Archery Championships (WA). In 1931, the first tournament with such a name was organised.
