  • The World Archery Championships and World Archery Congress will be held in Gwangju, South Korea, in 2025.
  • Gwangju was chosen over Madrid by a margin of ten votes to one.
  • The championships will be held for the third time in archery's leading competitive nation, following Seoul in 1985 and Ulsan in 2009.
  • The World Archery Federation organises a series of archery tournaments called the World Archery Championships (WA). In 1931, the first tournament with such a name was organised.
