  • India has been identified as one of the countries with the most doping cases.
  • In terms of cases of anti-doping rule violations, India was placed third in 2019.
  • According to the World Anti-Doping Agency's newest report, 152 incidents of anti-doping rule violations were discovered in India in 2019. (17 percent of the total cases in the world).
  • Bodybuilding was the sport with the highest number of doping cases (57).
  • India ranks third in this list, trailing only Russia (167) and Italy (157) while Brazil (78) and Iran (70) rank fourth and fifth, respectively.
  • In 2018 and 2017, India placed fourth and seventh, respectively, in terms of anti-doping rule infractions.
