World AIDS Day is observed every year on December 1st to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, honor those who have died from the disease, and show solidarity with those living with HIV.
It was first observed in 1988 and is one of the most recognized global health days.
The theme for World AIDS Day 2024, “Take the rights path: My health, my right!” emphasizes the importance of healthcare access and the empowerment of individuals in managing their health.
