The World Health Organization (WHO) has launched a six-month global strategic and response plan to stop the deadly outbreak of mpox.
The plan aims to reduce human-to-human transmission of Mpox through coordinated global, regional and national efforts.
The plan, starting from September 2024 to February 2025, envisages funding of US$135 million, including for strategic vaccination efforts for those at highest risk to interrupt the infection chain.
