India successfully hosted the IONS Maritime Exercise (IMEX) TTX 2026 in Kochi on 27 March 2026, assuming the IONS Chairmanship for 2026-2028 after 16 years and focusing on maritime security challenges in the Indian Ocean Region.
India hosted a major maritime security exercise under IONS in Kochi and assumed chairmanship for 2026-2028 term.
The Indian Navy received ‘Malwan’, the second indigenously built Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft, from Cochin Shipyard on March 31, 2026.
The Indian Navy has inducted ‘Sanshodhak’, the fourth and final indigenous Survey Vessel (Large), built by GRSE Kolkata with over 80% indigenous content.
