  • Russian President Vladimir Putin has reappointed Mikhail Mishustin as the Prime Minister of Russia. This decision is pending approval by the lower house of parliament, the State Duma.
  • Mishustin's reappointment follows the legal procedure initiated after Putin's inauguration for his fifth presidential term. As per Russian law, Mishustin submitted his Cabinet's resignation following Putin's inauguration ceremony.
  • Mikhail Mishustin, aged 58, has served as the Prime Minister for the past four years. He previously held the position of the head of Russia's tax service.
