Former Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli celebrated 17 years in international cricket on 18 August 2025. Kohli, who has retired from Tests and T20 Internationals, made his debut in an ODI against Sri Lanka on 18 August 2008, where he opened alongside India’s current head coach and scored 12 runs off 22 balls. Over the years, Kohli has established himself as one of cricket’s most prolific batsmen, achieving numerous records and becoming a central figure in Indian cricket.
