  • Virat Kohli has reached a big goal by becoming the second-highest scorer against Australia in the history of international cricket. During India’s fourth and final Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test against Australia at Ahmedabad, Kohli passed the great West Indies player Brian Lara.
  • Kohli has always had an impressive record against Australia, having scored 4,729 runs at an average of 50.84 in 89 matches and 104 innings.
  • He has also scored 15 centuries and 24 fifties against the Aussies, with his best individual score of 169.
  • Brian Lara, on the other hand, has scored 4,714 runs against Australia in 82 games and 108 innings, including 12 centuries and 26 fifties. 
  • Lara’s best individual score against the Aussies is 277.
  • The leading run-scorer against Australia is the legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar.
