Viral Desai, a well-known industrialist from Surat who is known as Greenman for his environmental activism, has been honoured with the coveted Global Environment and Climate Action Citizen Award in Dubai.
He is the only Indian to receive the Citizen Award for Global Environment and Climate Action.
On this occasion, twenty-eight notable persons from 11 countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, New Zealand, France, and Malaysia, were honoured with the prestigious prizes, but Viral Desai was the only Indian to receive the award for climate action.
