  • The Vice President of India, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, laid the foundation stone of Chetana Ganashram, an eco-friendly music campus for spiritual awakening, in Thrissur, Kerala. The project, initiated by the Kuriakose Elias Service Society (KESS) and CMI Devamatha Public School, aims to promote music meditation, therapy, and harmony across all religions.
  • Addressing the gathering, the Vice President highlighted India’s rich musical heritage, from Vedic hymns to Carnatic and Hindustani traditions, citing legends like Tyagaraja, Tansen, M. S. Subbulakshmi, and Ravi Shankar. He noted that music, through the Sapta Swaras, can heal, reduce stress, enhance concentration, and unite people in harmony.
  • Chetana Ganashram will feature five specialized alayams—Dhyana-alayam, Sangeet-alayam, Sabd-alayam, Kala-alayam, and Yoga-alayam—focusing on music meditation, therapy, voice therapy, dance, and yoga. The Vice President lauded the inclusive vision of the campus, emphasizing the timeless power of music to heal and foster unity, while reinforcing India’s cultural heritage on a global stage.
