Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will come into force in the state from January 2025, and the state will become the first state to implement UCC since independence.
A portal and mobile app have also been prepared for the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code, so that all the facilities of registration, appeal etc. are being made available through online medium.
