According to the recent decision, the first advanced pediatric center of Uttar Pradesh will be established in Lucknow.
The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet has endorsed the proposal to set up the state's inaugural Advanced Pediatric Centre.
This center will be established at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI), Lucknow.
This specialized medical unit is currently lacking in any institute or medical college in the state.
Its estimated cost is around Rs 200 crore.
According to the plan, S.G.P.G.I. Will set up an advanced pediatric centre.
It will have more than 20 departments and 6 units, with a total capacity of 575 beds.
