  • US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order directing the United States to exit 66 international organisations, among them the India-led International Solar Alliance.
  • The decision covers 35 non-UN organisations and 31 United Nations bodies that the US administration stated no longer align with American interests.
  • According to the White House, the move will end US taxpayer funding and involvement in institutions perceived as promoting global agendas over national priorities.
