At the 50th G7 summit in Italy, US President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a long-term security agreement covering military equipment, training, and maneuvers, though it excludes specific weapons system commitments.
Similar security cooperation agreements have been made between Ukraine and 15 other countries, including Britain, France, and Germany, emphasizing broad international support for Ukraine.
The G7, comprising seven major industrialized nations, meets annually to discuss global issues. The 50th summit is hosted by Italy in Borgo Egnazia, Fasano, Apulia, from June 13th to June 15th, 2024.
