  • The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has given Eat Right Campus and Five Star ratings to the food being served in Bulandshahr Jail in Uttar Pradesh. 
  • In this jail, food is cooked for the prisoners in the state-of-the-art kitchen for the prisoners. 
  • The FSSAI team had investigated the quality of food and the hygiene of the kitchen in Bulandshahr Jail. Bulandshahr Jail is the second jail in Uttar Pradesh to get this honour.
  • Earlier, District Jail Farrukhabad has also got this certificate.
  • Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has been set up under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.
  • It was set up on 5 September 2008.
