  • The National Workshop on Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban 2.0 (PMAY-U 2.0) was inaugurated by Union Minister Manohar Lal on 18 November 2024 in New Delhi. 
  • The workshop discussed the implementation of PMAY-U 2.0, its impact, and affordable housing schemes. The minister stressed on over 3 crore jobs being created under the scheme and its effective implementation. 
  • The objective of this scheme is to provide pucca houses to the urban poor and middle-class families. 
  • More than 250 officials and stakeholders attended the workshop, and various States/UTs exchanged their experiences and plans.
