  • The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, inaugurated beautification and rejuvenation projects in the Jawaharlal Nehru Port vicinity and reviewed several infrastructure and developmental initiatives at the port.
  • The Minister inaugurated three significant water bodies aimed at enhancing the ecological balance in the region.
  • Two MOUs were signed: one for loan disbursement between JNPA, Vadhvan Port, and REC for infrastructure projects, and another for implementing shore power supply for vessels between Gateway Terminals India and JNPA.
