During its Golden Jubilee celebration, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh announced that Central Electronics Limited (CEL) has been granted "Mini RATNA" status (Category-1) in recognition of its financial stability, profitability, and operational excellence over recent years.
Celebrating 50 years of service, CEL has transformed from a loss-making PSU to a profitable one, with a commendable net profit of approximately Rs 58 crore and has paid dividends to the Government of India for three consecutive years.
The celebration was graced by the Hon'ble Vice President of India, Shri. Jagdeep Dhankhar.
CEL has made significant contributions in Defence, Railway, Security, Surveillance, and Solar energy sectors, promoting indigenous technologies.
The company is set to diversify its product portfolio by rolling out production of Smart Boards, impacting smart education implementation in schools across the country.
