  • Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation Shri Amit Shah will attend the 'Sugar Industry Seminar and National Efficiency Awards 2022-23' ceremony in New Delhi, on August 10, 2024 as the Chief Guest. 
  • The award ceremony will be organized by the National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories (NFCSF) Ltd. During the event, Shri Amit Shah will also give away National Efficiency Awards in eight areas of cooperatives.
  • The 'Efficiency Awards' constituted by NFCSF is a tool to evaluate the performance of cooperative sugar mills. 
  • Through this, the performance of sugar mills was evaluated on parameters like sugarcane development, technical efficiency, financial management, highest sugarcane crushing, highest sugar production, highest sugar export, and overall performance of cooperative sugar mills. 
  • This was assessed by an expert committee. The expert committee evaluated the participating mills and finalized a total of 21 awards for the year 2022-23.
