Recently the Union Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by the Prime Minister has approved the Minimum Support Price for Rabi Rabi crops.
This approval has been given on the basis of the recommendations of the Agricultural Costs and Prices Commission.
The minimum support price of wheat has been declared at Rs 2275, which is Rs 150 more than last year.
The minimum support price of barley has been increased by Rs 115 compared to last year to Rs 1850.
The minimum support price of gram has been fixed at Rs 5440.
The minimum support price of rapeseed and mustard has been increased to Rs 5650.
MSP The highest increase has been made for pulses (lentils) by Rs 425 per quintal.
The Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices recommends minimum support price twice a year.
On the basis of this recommendation, the Union Cabinet takes decisions.
