  • Recently the Union Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by the Prime Minister has approved the Minimum Support Price for Rabi Rabi crops.
  • This approval has been given on the basis of the recommendations of the Agricultural Costs and Prices Commission.
  • The minimum support price of wheat has been declared at Rs 2275, which is Rs 150 more than last year.
  • The minimum support price of barley has been increased by Rs 115 compared to last year to Rs 1850.
  • The minimum support price of gram has been fixed at Rs 5440.
  • The minimum support price of rapeseed and mustard has been increased to Rs 5650.
  • MSP The highest increase has been made for pulses (lentils) by Rs 425 per quintal.
  • The Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices recommends minimum support price twice a year.
  • On the basis of this recommendation, the Union Cabinet takes decisions.
