Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated the National Seeds Corporation’s (NSC) advanced seed processing plant at Beej Bhawan, Pusa, New Delhi, marking a major step toward improving seed quality in India. The facility can process one ton of seeds per hour, ensuring reliable access for farmers. The Minister also virtually inaugurated five regional NSC plants in Bareilly, Dharwad, Hassan, Suratgarh, and Raichur. Alongside, he launched the Seed Management 2.0 System and an online seed booking platform to enhance transparency, accessibility, and boost India’s agricultural productivity.
