  • The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched a new AI-powered chatbot to help citizens with their queries related to Aadhaar. 
  • The chatbot dubbed as 'Aadhaar Mitra', is powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning will address Aadhaar-based queries such as tracking Aadhaar PVC status, registering and complaints etc.
  • It is available in both English and Hindi languages.
  • The user does not need to go to an Aadhaar enrollment centre to update the card anymore. 
  • It can be done through the chatbot. They can also apply for a duplicate Aadhaar if the original is lost.
  • UIDAI's new chatbot "Aadhaar Mitra," is accessible on the official website (www.uidai.gov.in).
