Uber has launched its first water transport service in India at Dal Lake in Srinagar as 'Uber Shikara', which facilitates booking shikaras through the app.
The Uber Shikara service is a first-of-its-kind initiative in Asia, which focuses on promoting Kashmir's tourism by combining technology and tradition and giving shikara owners the full benefit of income at government-determined rates.
