The UAE became the world’s first “10 Giga” nation by launching the first commercial upper 6GHz (U6GHz) network.
The 6425–7125 MHz spectrum offers high capacity and coverage with speeds up to 10 Gbps download and 1 Gbps upload.
Announced at the SAMENA Council Leaders’ Summit 2026, the network supports AI, cloud computing, and immersive technologies.
It is considered a precursor for future 6G development after successful trials in 2025.
