  • Tunisian President Kais Saied has replaced Prime Minister Ahmed Haqani with Kamel Madouri as the new prime minister, the sixth change of prime minister under the administration of Sayeed, ahead of an October 6 election.
  • The dismissal comes in the wake of repeated protests over the water and power cuts crisis in several parts of the country. Hashani was named as the Prime Minister of Tunisia in August last year.
