Three Indian-origin Canadians have been given the 'Order of Canada' for their excellent achievements, community service, and contributions to building a stronger nation and improving bilateral relations between India and Canada.
It is one of Canada's most prestigious civilian awards.
Dr. Vaikuntam Iyer Lakshmanan, Navjit Singh Dhillon, and Dr. Pradeep Merchant are among the 135 honorees.
