  • The Central Railway's Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) have successfully rescued 199 children in Maharashtra during the last 11 months under Operation Nanhe Farishte. 
  • Between January and November 2024, the Railway Police Force of Central Railway along with the Government Railway Police and other frontline railway staff rescued 1099 children and reunited them with their families. 
  • These children were rescued from different areas of Maharashtra. As many as 379 children were rescued from Mumbai Division, 247 from Bhusawal, 246 from Pune, 168 from Nagpur and 59 from Solapur Railway Division.
  • In the period from January to November 2023, 1 thousand 53 children were rescued under this operation, out of which 741 were boys and 312 were girls.
