  • As per the announcement of November 2023, the name of the country's first pull-push train will be Amrit Bharat Express.
  • This train will run between Mumbai-Ahmedabad.
  • The color of Amrit Bharat Express will be saffron.
  • Its engine will be on the lines of Vande Bharat, which will be completely saffron in colour.
  • Due to pull-push technology, Amrit Bharat train will be able to stop faster and pick up faster.
  • Due to which its average speed will increase.
  • This train will run at a maximum speed of 130 kilometers per hour on the lines of Rajdhani Express, Shatabdi Express and Vande Bharat.
  • 100 engines of pull-push technology are being manufactured in Banaras Locomotive Works.
  • In future, Amrit Bharat trains will run between the states of South India including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Maharashtra.
