An MoU was signed between the Sports Authority of India and the Sports Department of Ladakh under the scheme of Khelo India for the Khelo India Centre of Excellence.
The timing of this announcement coincides with the opening ceremony of the Khelo India Winter Games 2024 in Ladakh.
Ladakh has hosted its first significant national event, in which 15 states and 2 public institutions participated in ice hockey and ice sports.
