The Government plans to launch the 'Agri Fund for Start-Ups & Rural Enterprises' (AgriSURE) with a Rs 750 crore Category-II Alternative Investment Fund (AIF).
It aims to support start-ups and agripreneurs through equity and debt investments, focusing on innovation, sustainability, and enhancing the agriculture value chain.
NABARD launched the AgriSURE Greenathon 2024, a hackathon addressing challenges in agriculture such as affordable smart technologies, profitable use of agri-waste, and promoting regenerative agriculture practices.
The initiative aims to spur technological solutions that benefit small farmers and enhance the economic viability of sustainable agriculture practices.
