The Government of India has announced the National Science Awards 2025, celebrating outstanding excellence and innovation in science, technology, and research. These prestigious honors:- Vigyan Ratna, Vigyan Shri, Vigyan Yuva–Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar and Vigyan Team Awards recognize lifetime achievements, distinguished contributions, and exceptional teamwork across 13 scientific fields. Renowned astrophysicist Late Prof. Jayant Vishnu Narlikar has been posthumously conferred the Vigyan Ratna (Physics), while eminent scientists including Dr. Gyanendra Pratap Singh and Prof. Pradeep Thalappil, received the Vigyan Shri Award for their remarkable contributions.
