'The Golden Thread' directed by Nishita Jain won the Best Documentary in the international category at the 18th Mumbai International Film Festival, presented by actress Poonam Dhillon.
Edmond Ranson's 'Life In Loom' received the Best Short Film award in the 'India in Amrit Kaal' category, and Sreemoyi Singh won the Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari Award for Best Debut Director for her film ‘And, Towards Happy Alleys’.
In the National Competition, '6-A Akash Ganga' won Best Documentary, 'Salt' won Best Short Fiction, and 'Nirjara' won Best Animation. In the International Competition, 'Zima' from Poland won Best Animation, and 'Sour Milk' from Estonia won Best Short Fiction.
