Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Zubin Irani has published her first novel, 'Lal Salaam.'
The novel is based on the April 2010 massacre of 76 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh.
The novel honors the extraordinary people who have served the country for decades, particularly those who have borne the brunt of the red corridor conflict.
'Lal Salaam' tells the story of a young officer, Vikram Pratap Singh, and the difficulties he faces in a system riddled with backroom dealings and corruption.
This book will be released on 29th November.
