Thai Pusam is the festival, which is mainly celebrated in Tamil Nadu. The Thaipusam festival is celebrated to honour Lord Murugan, the Hindu god of war, for his victory over surapadman.
On Paush Purnima, Thaipusam is being celebrated in South India with great grandeur on January 25, 2024.
Thaipusam festival is also referred to as Thaipoosam.
