  • The Ministry of Textiles’ Textiles Committee and the North Eastern Handloom and Handicraft Development Corporation (NEHHDC) signed an MoU in Guwahati to conserve and promote the Northeast’s traditional handloom and handicraft heritage.
  • The agreement, finalised during the North Eastern Region Conclave, aims to strengthen Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) protection for distinctive regional products through Geographical Indications (GI) registration and post-GI support measures.
