  • The first phase of Telangana Super Thermal Power Project was recently inaugurated by the Prime Minister.
  • The generation capacity of the first phase of this project is 800 MW.
  • This power plant is located in Peddapalli district of Telangana.
  • The second plant of this project will also be commissioned soon and upon its completion, the installed capacity of the power plant will increase to 4000 MW.
  • The foundation stone of Telangana Super Thermal Power Project was laid by the Prime Minister in the year 2019.
  • This project is under National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC).
